Director of Search Engine Strategy:
Mmi, a digital advertising group based in New York, is seeking a Director of Search Engine Strategy. This is a strategic role in which you will be the face of the organization. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and experienced Search Director to join our team. The right individual will oversee the planning, execution, ongoing management, reporting and analysis of SEM accounts for all agency clients. This individual will also be responsible for managing search account directors. Strong interpersonal and communications skills are essential, along with an uncompromising attention to detail, initiative and innovative problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of SEM strategy for agency clients and work with the account team to develop and present SEM strategies, plans, POVs to the client. - Provide insightful, actionable customer analysis. This includes development of statistically sound customer targeting and test plans, measurement of their current SEM programs and providing insight and recommendations for improving their marketing programs. - Gather information and analysis from the account team in order to create and provide presentations to the client. - Train and lead the account team to consistently deliver superior client solutions to ensure that client's goals are being met or exceeded. - Organize weekly/biweekly meetings with account management team. - Cultivate new business relationships and recognize opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell. - Build and maintain strong relationships with outside vendors. - Responsible for SEM spend pacing and budgeting across all clients. - Continuing study and research of current industry trends in search and analytics
Requirements:
- Expertise in SEO best practices and strategies, SEM campaign management - Deep familiarity with developing trends and news in SEM and SEO - Proficiency in SEM campaign optimization and analysis (Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, Microsoft Adcenter) - Mastery of using site analytics data to produce actionable recommendations (Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatylist) - Extensive client management experience - Proficiency with the organization and synthesis of data
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred - 7 + years experience in an interactive agency or similar environment. - 3+ years managerial experience. - Excellent relationship management skills with an aptitude for mentoring and training. - Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project. - Excellent presentation skills including the ability to put an entire presentation together. - Needs to be a strategic and tactical thinker. - Strong analytical skills - Superior verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting to Fortune 500 clients. - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Ability to see the big picture. - Excellent project management skills.
